Business Unf*cked: The Event Designed to Change the Way Founders Think About Growth

Chris Gomez

Most business events follow a familiar formula: panel discussions, uncomfortable networking, and recycled advice that feels more like a productivity drain than a catalyst for change.

Business Unf*cked was not that event.

On 12 February 2025 at 08:15am, 30 founders and CEOs walked into Babel Beerhouse in Kings Cross not to hear more of the same, but to workshop their challenges with experts from wildly different backgrounds and to take a look at their own growth as well as that of their business.

They left with a fresh perspective, real strategies, and a renewed sense of direction. Some even had their business epiphanies right there in the room.

Three Experts, Three Perspectives, One Goal: Unlock Growth

We designed this especially for founders and CEOs to be pushed outside their comfort zones. That meant no passive listening, no endless PowerPoints (in fact there were no screens at all) just deep, interactive sessions designed to break inertia and unlock action.

1. Resilience & Decision-Making Under Pressure

Russ Lewis MC MSc, Former Military Leader, showed how decisive action and resilience in high-stakes situations can break inertia, drive momentum and prevent overthinking.

2. Adapting to Change & Building a Winning Mindset

Dom Morris, Retired Saracens Rugby Player, revealed how elite athletes pivot under pressure, build mental toughness, and harness their energy. All essential skills for founders and CEOs navigating uncertainty.

3. Finding (and Fixing) the Right Problems

Michelle Flynn, Entrepreneur, helped attendees understand how to identify route problems rather than fighting symptoms, by rethinking their approach, and crafting focused, actionable strategies to move forward using the Growth Edge Problem Solving Framework.

Mindful Networking: The Power of Superpowers & Kryptonite

Networking at most business events is a hit-or-miss experience—random conversations that rarely lead to anything meaningful. We flipped that on its head.

Before the event, we asked every attendee:

👉 What’s your superpower? (The thing you’re best at)

👉 What’s your kryptonite? (Your biggest challenge)

We then strategically grouped attendees in cohorts of 10, ensuring that each person could both contribute their strengths and get insight on their weaknesses.

The result? More conversations that mattered, more meaningful connections and more value from everyone in the cohort.

What Attendees Had to Say

“I’ve been to my fair share of business workshops, but Business Unfcked was something different. No fluff, no generic advice—just straight-talking insights that made me look at things in a new way.”* – Simon Wickes

“I had an epiphany, and coming to this event helped me formulate what I need to do to take my business to the next level.” – Alice Dewar-Mills

“Some great strategies to take back to the office and do something with. Not just pie-in-the-sky ideas, but a real focused strategy to put into place.” – Sarah Talland
